Reasons to Spend Time Alone

I love the article 9 Reasons Why You Should Spend More Time Alone With Yourself from Purpose Fairy . Which ones ring true for you?

Number 5 really resonates with me right now: You learn how to become who you are and not who the world thinks you should be. There’s also my ego who thinks I should be something other than who I am now. I’m currently working through this as part of my self-discovery and in my Coming back to Life E-course with Jodi Chapman – Soul Speak.

The article quotes Leo F. Buscaglia, “Love yourself—accept yourself—forgive yourself—and be good to yourself, because without you, the rest of us are without a source of many wonderful things.”

What a wonderful thing it is to know that even though we may be just one person in this big world, we alone can make such a huge impact that stretches farther than we can imagine. Our life purpose has great meaning; once we are in-tune with it, each one of us is capable of creating glorious miracles.

Is Manifesting Abundance Not Working For You?

Do you want to know what really works to raise your vibration and attract more of what you want?

Do you need inspiration in your life to help you make the changes you truly desire?
Would you like to start to enjoy the life you are living right now in this moment?

You already know what it takes but you’ve probably heard it so many times that you have been desensitized to it. I would like to encourage you to reignite your curiosity with the wonder and magic that GRATITUDE has to offer you. Appreciation for all things is one of the most essential ways to improve your life. It brings miracles, heals all wounds, and brings you closer to loving compassion.

I have been blessed in many ways since I found gratitude through Essence Turner. My journey sent me on a path of self-discovery, healing, and purpose. How Can We Break the Cycle of Our Past?

One of the ways to help us break the cycle is to understand the messages we are receiving from the circumstances we continuously find ourselves in and then act on them appropriately. We cannot change a situation if we face it with resistance, anger, or fear. We must respond to it with its opposite. This can be hard to do when we find ourselves wrapped up in the emotional turmoil of what we are currently struggling with.

When we have calmed down after going through a situation, we can reflect on:
(1) what happened
(2) what was said
(3) how we felt
(4) what the situation was trying to teach us
(5) how much of the situation was our own responsibility
(6) what the root cause is from our past that we have yet to deal with

After reflecting, we can decide how to proceed: if we want to continue to react, or if we are ready to respond in a way that we can rise above and move on to a happier life. In the moment, it is more convenient to take the easy way out but we will never reach any of our hopes and dreams that way.
When we have had enough and we are finally ready to make that shift in ourselves, we can begin to listen to those messages from the Universe to find out what it is trying to teach us.

In doing so, we must also fully deal with the situations that are causing us strife:
(1) let go of what is holding us back from our past
(2) forgive the people in our lives that are triggering our reactions
(3) express gratitude for them being in our lives to teach us this lesson
(4) show some compassion towards ourselves as we go through the entire process

Embrace the Child Within

"If we all could see the world through eyes of a child, we would see the magic in everything." ~Chee Vai Tang

Hold on to the wonder, and keep your world as big as your imagination.
Get excited to start a new day, and don’t be scared to get dirty.
Burst out laughing as loud as you can, and look deep inside to find your happiness again.
Live life to the fullest, and love with all your might.

"Embrace the child within....growing out of our childhood intentions can have a profound effect on our perceptions and instincts. Through our inner child we feel the joy...the miracle...the essence of humanity!" ~Amanda Wootten

You Create Your Own Reality

This quote seems to have stirred up some deep emotions in some people. Many have been dealt a hard life and it's really hard to take on the perspective that we create our own reality and that we must take 100% responsibility for everything that has happened to us.

I read No Limits by Joe Vitale and it talks about taking responsibility so I tried it out. I found when doing this you need to reflect on the past hurt, look for the positive lesson, and acknowledge the person it has turned you into. Then I thought about those times when bad things happened to me, over and over again, even the ones that were out of my control as a child and teenager.

It doesn't matter how old you are, the universal laws are in effect for every one of us. I've learned, for myself, that due to my ignorance of knowing how to respond to my circumstances in ways to make them better, I just kept resisting and reacting in negative ways. I have to look back and show myself some forgiveness as well as others. I need to see the higher meaning of the messages I was being sent in each of my negative situations because even after all these years, all the things I haven't learned yet are still coming at me. And I also really need to appreciate these struggles I have been through; gratitude heals and love conquers all.

Stand in Faith

When things start to fall apart for me, I allow myself time to sit with the bad feelings. When I reach my lowest point and I just can’t take anymore, I surrender myself. I give it all over to God/Universe/Source/the Divine, and say, “I’m done, your turn, I can’t do this anymore. Please help me.” I’m not really religious but when I show complete faith in something higher than myself, I can feel a shift in me.

Resistance and disharmony is a signal that I am moving into a new area. When I give up my resistance by showing an unwavering faith, I move into a state of clarity and am better able to receive messages on what steps I should act on. “What you resist, persists.” If I react to my circumstances, negative things continue to happen. When I step back and mentally take myself out of the situation to look at it as an observer, I give myself time to form a new perspective and the ability to respond instead.

Real Beauty Runs Deep

Each and every one of us look different, we all have different traits, abilities, talents, personalities, and we all have a higher purpose in this world to advance our spiritual evolution. Real beauty runs deep into the core of who we are and how we treat ourselves and others. Living by our values, having good character, contributing to others, and the ability to act with grace is much more beautiful than our physical appearance.

“Sometimes people are beautiful. Not in looks. Not in what they say. Just in what they are. ~Markus Zusak

Let Gratitude Replace Judgment

"The way to move out of judgment is to move into gratitude.

This means remaining grateful for every outcome. Every outcome. This is about saying “Thank you, God” for even those things that you are sure you did not consciously choose and that you are very clear you do not want.

The next time you are confronted with any undesired outcome, result, or experience, just stop. Stop right in the middle of whatever is going on. Just say inside your head, ‘Thank you, God.’

Take a deep breath & say it again. ‘Thank you for this gift, and the treasure that it holds for me.’

Be assured that it does hold a treasure, even if you’re not seeing it right now. Life will prove that to you, if you give it a chance.

~ Neale Donald Walsch

You Are Worthy of Forgiveness

The universe is in a state of everlasting and graceful forgiveness, taking no notice of your ill doings, guilt, and shame. You are worthy of acceptance and forgiveness.

When you forgive yourself, you are acknowledging that your actions have consequences that do not include self-inflicted negative feelings.

“Not forgiving yourself is like picking at an open wound; you are only making a bad situation worse. The wound is already there, but you do have control over your reaction to it, and you can stop it from getting worse. If you forgive yourself when you make a mistake, it’s easier to address the consequences of your action in a productive way.” ~Michael Davidson

Become Whole

When we acknowledge the inner child within us, we become whole. A new world opens up to us where dreams come alive, magic is real and miracles surround us. ~ Amanda Salsman
